Internet

I offer you a number of internet-related services. These include:

Arranging internet access so that you can surf the web and both send & receive emails. This includes setting-up your router where necessary.
Showing you how to use the internet once you are connected. This includes:
- Using a number of web browsers
- Using search engines
- Opening pages in new windows & in new tabs
- Accessing your emails through a web browser for use when travelling
Showing you how to send and receive emails. This includes:
- Creating new emails
- Sending and receiving emails
- Replying to emails
- Forwarding emails
- Attaching documents & photographs to a email
- Viewing attachments in received emails
- Accessing your emails through a web browser for use when travelling

Training

I offer on-site training (that is, I show you how to use your computer with your programs and your data) at your home or office.

The programs which I know and can teach you are:

Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Publisher)
QuickBooks & QuickBooks Plus (with payroll)
MYOB Accounting & Accounting Plus (with payroll)

If you cannot see your particular application here then please ask me if I can be of help: I have sufficient experience (I have been programming since 1974) that I can often work out how to get a program to obey your instructions.

Photography

After becoming interested in digital photography recently I can now help many people with the digital camera and their digital image processing.

Troubleshooting

As a result of seeing and fixing too many computers which do not work as well as they should, I have had to learn how to configure them correctly and how to get many non-working computers back to a working state.
