St Francis Church is an exciting B & B situated in Carisbrook (which some call the Heart of the Victorian Goldfields). The church has been renovated to provide the most exquisite getaway for those romantically inclined.

Green Valley Chevon a local company which is spreading the word about goats as a excellent source of meat. "Chevon" is a word meaning goat meat, and Green Valley Chevon has an increasing share of the goat meat market in Australia.

Goldfields FM is Maryborough's community radio station. This station has now been running for nearly three years and has a loyal band of people both running and supporting the station, and presenting shows and listening to these shows.
